Thank You! Plus, the Best of 2023
Welcome to The Shift, a weekly newsletter where I provide thought-provoking ideas to help you think differently about your career and money.
The Shift
(this is the mindset shift I hope to teach you as you read on):
This week I plan to confirm your thinking for a change! Congrats on your decision to be part of The Shift. 😉
One Belief
I went out on a limb when I started this newsletter.
I thought others might share my belief that: Work isn’t working.
More than that, I believed that if we all started to think differently about work, we could make it work better for both individuals and corporations.
My hope is that The Shift open minds and inspires change.
I am beyond grateful for those of you that signed-up and read The Shift regularly. 🙏
I’m extremely appreciative to those that have shared it with friends, family, and complete strangers! My greatest growth has come from your shared interest in the success of The Shift.
Please keep spreading the word.
And keep the feedback coming!
Open Conversation
Some of you have graciously responded to my emails with compliments and constructive criticism. I welcome both!
I learn so much from your feedback. It helps me to keep an open mind and to consider other perspectives. Keep it coming!!
My door (email) is always open.
Your support means the world to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I wish you and yours the best in 2024!! 🥂
Cheers!

The Best of 2023
I’ve only been writing for four months, but I can already see a trend in the types of topics that are resonating. I’m proud that two of the top three newsletters address my core ideas (#1 and #3)
Here’s a quick recap of the 3 top editions of 2023:
This is really the heart of the “outside of the box” type of thinking I’m hoping to spread. I believe the traditional path to work will be much less traditional in the future. I explain why in this edition.
Quiet quitting is not a good idea. Every day is an interview. Those around you are watching you and that could be the difference between getting a future job opportunity or not.
At the end of the day work is a contract. It is an exchange of time and service for money and community. That equation has become imbalanced, and work needs to be done to restore that balance.
Let’s make The Shift!
Lindsey
